View Hidden Password In Login Pages & Browsers

Every time you enter password, it is displayed as *s or as Dots in almost all log-in pages on internet. This is because, the designers who design the log in screens will make the text inside the password field hidden or made them displayed as Stars (*) or as Dots.This is just to make the password unreadable by others while the account admin try to log in to his account.

Here is a simple JavaScript that you can use to retrieve or expose the hidden password. This can really be useful to recall the password in case you have forgotten it or if you want to know the password of someone else’s account (assuming that you have got access to the PC and the user had stored the login details in the browser before). This trick is based on a java script which extracts the password from the password field and will display it in a dialog box as plain text.

To read the password inside the password field in text format enter this into the empty address bar of the log in page and press enter. Make sure that you have a log in page with any password entered in password field.

How to try this asterisk trick :

• Open Google.com or any page on the browser that has the login details


• Enter the username and password in the log in page of Google.


• Copy paste the code into the address bar of the Google log in page now.


• You can see the password you entered before in a dialog box as plain text.

This Trick works best on Google Chrome and better on Firefox. It might also work on all other browsers.

You can also use this trick to view stored passwords in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and other browsers.

How To Disable The New Photo Viewer On Facebook

Facebook recently rolled out the new photo viewer which also called “Theater Mode” for all the users. This new Facebook photo viewer uses popup slideshow and opens in an overlay layer. But this latest update from facebook has come under a lot of fire because many users found it annoying and this new Theater Mode photo viewer for Facebook has not found universal love.

So I am here with the 2 simplest tricks to get rid of it.



1. By deleting “&theater”

To disable the new Photo Viewer simply go to the address bar of the browser. At the end of the address, there is &theater – delete it. The page will reload the image in the old photo viewer and from there you can click next and back for each picture and it’ll stay in the old viewer, you only have to do this each time the new photo viewer displays then it will stay at the old viewer until you click off the page.



2. Using F5 key.

All you have to do is to simply press F5 button and then the photo should load again in the old Photo Viewer instead of the new one and after this you will see the rest of the photos in the album in the old Photo Viewer.

I just found the easiest way to download Youtube videos to your PC without installing any software.

Before, I used to go to Zamzar and have them convert the videos for me then send me a link where I could download the file. The problem with Zamzar is that it could take around 15 to 30 minutes for their e-mail to arrive.

Here's a much easier way if you're interested.

1. First, locate the the URL of your Youtube video. I'm going to try it on this video of Lady Gaga's performance on Oprah.

2. Then on your browser, swap the " of the Youtube address with a number " so that it becomes 3outube.

3. When you go to that address, you will be taken to a page where you can download an MP4 or an FLV version of your video. I chose MP4.

4. A download dialog box prompted me to save the file and that's it.
What's good about this one is that you can drag your MP4 to iTunes and immediately sync it to your iPod without doing any conversion. I tried it with my friend's iPod Nano and it worked like a charm.
